Tom Hesford points out details of a projected photograph while giving a presentation on the history of Bismarck High School on 10-21 evening in the Veterans Memorial Public Library. Hesford, who started teaching english at Bismarck High in 1967 and was principal from 1993 to 2004, included numerous photographs of BHS and its students and teachers in the presentation sponsored by the Bismarck Historical Society. The next program sponsored by the local historical society is Thursday, November 12th at 7 p.m. and will feature the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit presented by Jane Hedahl Schreck and the Rev. John Guthrie. Schreck is a lifelong member of the Cathedral and Rev. Guthrie is the current pastor of the parish and grandson of the contractor who built the Bismarck landmark.
