Lavonne Goss, center, raises her arms during the 58th National Day of Prayer observance in Memorial Hall of the North Dakota capitol on 5-7 afternoon. Goss said this is the third time she's attended the event sponsored by the North Dakota National Day of Prayer. Organizer Kari Bitz estimated more than 200 attended the interdenominational service. Speakers included first lady Mikey Hoeven, treasurer Kelly Schmidt, Rev. Chad Gion of Spirit of Life Catholic Church in Mandan and KXMB news anchor Marci Narum.
